Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the CollectLogix platform and services provided by Las Vegas Mushrooms, LLC, doing business as StaxxLogix ("StaxxLogix"). This policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. General Principles

CollectLogix is designed to help collectors manage, value, and protect their collectibles. Users are expected to use the Service:

  • Lawfully and ethically
  • In good faith
  • Without infringing on the rights of others
  • In accordance with the intended purpose of the Service

2. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, transmit, or store content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Promotes illegal activities or provides instructions for illegal acts
  • Involves stolen goods or contraband
  • Relates to money laundering or financial crimes
  • Involves items restricted by CITES or similar regulations

2.2 Fraudulent Content

  • Misrepresents the authenticity, grade, or provenance of items
  • Contains false or misleading information intended to deceive
  • Involves counterfeit items represented as genuine
  • Includes fabricated certifications or grading information

2.3 Harmful Content

  • Malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Phishing attempts or credential harvesting
  • Spam or unsolicited bulk content
  • Content designed to disrupt the Service

2.4 Offensive Content

  • Hate speech or discrimination based on protected characteristics
  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • Sexually explicit material
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content promoting terrorism or extremism

2.5 Infringing Content

  • Copyrighted material you don't have rights to
  • Trademarked material used without authorization
  • Content that violates others' privacy rights
  • Trade secrets or confidential information

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Security Violations

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Bypass security measures or authentication systems
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data without permission
  • Engage in denial-of-service attacks or system overloading
  • Intercept or monitor data intended for others

3.2 Service Abuse

You may not:

  • Exceed usage limits through circumvention or manipulation
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers or promotions
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service for competitive intelligence gathering
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Interfere with other users' access to the Service
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

3.3 API Abuse

If you have API access, you may not:

  • Exceed rate limits or quota allocations
  • Share API keys with unauthorized parties
  • Use the API for purposes other than those intended
  • Scrape data in bulk for resale or competitive purposes
  • Create applications that violate this AUP or our Terms

3.4 AI Service Abuse

You may not:

  • Misrepresent AI identifications as official certifications
  • Use AI services to facilitate fraud or deception
  • Attempt to exploit or manipulate AI identification systems
  • Use AI services for bulk authentication of suspicious items
  • Claim AI-generated valuations as professional appraisals

3.5 Marketplace-Related Violations

You may not:

  • Use the Service to facilitate fraud on external marketplaces
  • Manipulate pricing data for deceptive purposes
  • Create fake listings or misrepresent item conditions
  • Use marketplace features for price manipulation schemes

4. Account Security Requirements

To maintain the integrity of the Service, you must:

4.1 Password Security

  • Use strong, unique passwords (minimum 12 characters recommended)
  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Change passwords if you suspect compromise
  • Avoid using passwords from other compromised services

4.2 Multi-Factor Authentication

  • Enable MFA when available (strongly recommended)
  • Secure your MFA recovery codes appropriately
  • Report lost MFA devices immediately

4.3 Session Security

  • Log out from shared or public devices
  • Review and terminate suspicious sessions
  • Report unauthorized access immediately

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of violations of this AUP, please report them to:

  • Through the in-app reporting feature

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Enforcement

6.1 Investigation

StaxxLogix reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. This may include:

  • Reviewing account activity and content
  • Analyzing usage patterns
  • Coordinating with law enforcement when appropriate

6.2 Actions We May Take

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations
  • Content Removal: Removal of offending content
  • Feature Restriction: Limiting access to certain features
  • Temporary Suspension: Account suspension for a defined period
  • Permanent Termination: Permanent account ban without refund
  • Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement or civil litigation

6.3 Severity Considerations

We consider the following when determining appropriate action:

  • Severity of the violation
  • Intent (accidental vs. deliberate)
  • History of previous violations
  • Impact on other users or the Service
  • Cooperation with our investigation

7. Compliance with Laws

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:

  • Export control laws and regulations
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
  • Tax reporting requirements
  • Consumer protection laws
  • Intellectual property laws
  • Data protection and privacy laws

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
